I Made Strides Today!!!!!!!!

I was truely honored, surprised and inspired today.

Today I did the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Harrisburg with my team, Hebe's Pinky Pact. It was a wonderful feeling to have over 20 people show up to walk with me.
I am honored.

There was a HUGE surprise for me when we arrived. My dear dear friend Brent, who I didn't know was even coming to walk, showed up. Not only did he show up to support and walk with me, he had been campaining on his own for me (without my knowledge) and brought with him a stack of checks totaling over $1200.00. I was so surprised and shocked that I could do nothing but shake and cry as I read the card signed by his donors, 95% of whom I have never even met. I am completely speechless. I am so touched to have someone do that for me, words cannot begin to explain how I feel.

It was cold and breezy but we had a wonderful day. I ran into an old old neighbor (from when I was in elementary school) who is also a survivor. I got to see her, her sister and her mom who I haven't seen in over 25 years. Sarah was diagnosed 3 months before me and has just finished her chemo and is doing great. It was so wonderful to see her, Janie and their mom. I spent the first 10 years of my life sleeping at their house on weekends with them and I will never forget all the fun we had.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to me financially and emotionally, you are the best. I am a lucky girl to have people in my life like you. I just can't believe it.

My team finished 6th in the top 10 fund raisers! $5800.00 was raised.
I finished 6th for the top individual fund raisers.......$2800.00. I am now what's called a "Pacesetter". I'm going to double this amount for next year!

A special thanks to Dan for all your support through this. I know it has been rough on you and I thank you for hanging in there with me!!

Thank you to the following family and friends who walked with me today:
Dan, Dustin, Douglas, Dad, Susan, Pam, Joann, Sue, Mel, Karen, Dave, Kristen, Gabby, Angie, Michaela, Denise, Stacy, Kelly, Katie, Kimmy, Amy, Denise, Cindy and Brent.
You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!! I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I have had a fabulous one so far! Thank you!

Halfway Done!!!

As of yesterday, I'm halfway done with chemo! I thought it would never get here!
The next 4 rounds are to have different side effects, more bone/muscle pain and no nausea! Yeah!

Next Saturday the 18th is the walk on City Island. I have 20 wonderful people walking with me and about 65 other wonderful people who donated money to my team. We are almost at $3500.00 raised for Breast Cancer Reasearch. I am so thankful to everyone who had donated, you have no idea how grateful I am.

After all this is over I will be celebrating my birthday a few weeks late. January 3rd. Already rented the gorgeous place, just need to get together with Betty Crocker to see what kind of food we are making...........it is going to be fabulous. Invites will come out in early December.

Enjoy the weekend!

Kinoki Foot Pads Part 2

OMG......I actually know and LIKE someone who is using these things! I almost peed myself when she told me she was using these foot pads at night and feels like a million bucks when she wakes up. I thought she was joking for the first 10 minutes. I'm telling you, I can't believe it.

Go to buykinoki.com to view the scam for yourself. Apparently they are available at Wal Mart down south. Not sure if they're available in Central PA, I'll have Creelman check it out since he's the one who brought this to my attention months ago.

What a nice weekend. After a week of feeling lousy, I finally feel great!
Went to Color Me Mine last night. Baseball today, outdoor movie night tonight, and extended family day at the movies is tomorrow. Cool.

Christmas is 3 months away and I've bought and wrapped 20 presents already! Tee-hee!!

I've rented a place to hold my 40th Birthday Party! It will be a month late due to my current health state, but it's going to be fantastic. The place is absolutely beautiful. Betty Crocker and I, among others, will be cooking for the event. I can't wait. It gives me something to look forward to after 6 months of sheer hell. It will be interesting to see if I can survive even one drink after not drinking for 6 months. Maybe we'll have some side betting going on.

Have a great weekend everyone! Don't forget to go to Cancer.org and click on Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, then Hebe's Pinky Pact to see my teams progress! We are doing great. The walk is October 18th and I'd love to see you there!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Happy Birthday dear friend!

Picked up some new furniture Saturday.........my handyman put it together for me and it looks awesome. Couldn't have matched it better if I bought it together! Thank you thank you!!

The Harrisburg St. Patty's Day Parade was nice! I've never been there before but it was really nice. Dad was in it, Maggie & Riley walked in it with him for the last 2 or 3 blocks then were hungry so we went to eat. Dad had a little fete on State. (hey, that rhymes!)
Ran into Scott, Christine and of course Brent was in the parade. Saw Uncle Jimmy, Uncle John and Emily and her boyfriend too. Then I just sat back and watched the Hibernians do their thing. Very interesting people they are.

Then off to the B-Day party! It was great. Although we got into MINOR trouble afterwards.......I'm hoping the frosty helps!

Back to work today.......blah blah. Got at least 1 beer in with friends after work though! Always time for a beer with friends.......

Kinoki Foot Pads

Two weeks ago at work, this guy says "google kinoki footpads'', i said 'no way', then after reminding me that he's in the process of doing my review......i felt compelled to do it.

You have to do it, it is freaking hilarious.

Go to buykinoki.com

It's gross, but it's freaking hilarious that people would even buy this stuff.
The person who showed me this can't sleep well at night and watched an infomercial on it. Dumb.

I would like to try them just out of sheer curiosity!

Stolen Trash Cans ....and Other 'Items'

OMG.........a weekend away with the girls was exactly what I needed!
I laughed so stinking hard it wasn't funny....I took the 4th annual trek down to CM for 'scrapapalooza'......We left here at noon on Thursday and got back around 6 on Sunday.

We were there 9am until 3am two days in a row. Ugh.

No sleep, well about 5 hours each night beginning at 4am....eeeeeeeeeeek!

The chicks behind us stole Wendy's trash can Friday night and after a few beers I thought she was going to let them have it. We think they also stole some PJ's but that's another story.

In return, I spotted a 6 pack of Stella, unopened, hiding in the bushes outside the hotel....leave it to say that the 6 pack was minus 3 beers by the time I left at 3am. hehehe.......thieves!

To give you a little idea of what went on, here are the texts I got:

1. trash can thieves r in the bar
2. have to beat them back up stairs
3. Dont use upstairs bathroom, i just went and there were strange noises and not from me.
4. guarantee it stinks, i used downstairs
5. omg, we have a young anna nicole down here with her DADDY
6. Your beers are still in my purse. I'm a thief.

That was all I could handle. I was laughing so hard people were starting to look.

I did get tons of stuff done and had a fantastic time! I will be supplying 'depends' for my friends next year. At least I didn't have to beg them to wear breathe rights this year!

Today the buzz wore off...........back to work. Back to insanity. Moronity (i'm still planning to start the moronity.com website!)

It will be a miracle.........

If I make it through this job without killing someone, telling someone off and NOT be kidding about it, or even swear at someone to their face.
I don't understand how some people slide through their worklife knowing nothing, doing nothing but getting all the credit in the world for everyone else's work. Unbelievable.

As far as Raging Waters........I got to eat at work today listening to someone discuss the help their parents need with day to day hygiene........omg. I feel for the person, that their parents are in need, but for the love of god go into a conference room for your half hour personal calls! Or at least don't SHOUT into the phone like you are on a long distance call to China while attending a pro football game you moron!

I'm currently researching other employment, self employment........

What a Week

What a great week………Valentine’s Day was so nice!
I had a nice lunch, roses delivered to me at work, a FANTASTIC dinner at one of my favorite places in the area, then off to Hollywood! (You know the song….’Hooray for Hollywood….’) It was a great day.

Worked sucked, but the rest of the week was great!
Dinner with friends on Friday, then beer and bowling on the Wii. I love that thing. Oh…..I racked up another K.O. on boxing too! Hehehe………

Saturday was ‘game night’ at my house. The Hyde clan was over for food, drinks and games. Freaking hilarious I tell you. First of all, there were 13 people there and enough food for 26 people. I made soup, bread, 2 dips, I had chips, crackers, pretzels, snack mix, beer and wine. Then the clan rolls in with fruit salad, pumpkin pie, mac and cheese, a ham, 2 dozen rolls, more chips, dips, veggie tray, peanut butter dessert, coffee, wine, oh I know I’m forgetting stuff, but you get the point. Dave did the obligatory sleeping on the couch while the rest of us yelled and laughed for a few hours in the dining room. I had a great time. Thank you everyone for coming!

Sunday………ahh……Sunday Brunch.
The Hershey pantry holds their Sunday Brunch across the street at Events Etc. and let me tell you, it’s every bit as good as the Hotel Hershey. Dan and I stopped in for brunch on our way to the Coach store for part 3 of my V-day gift, or was it part 5 or 6? I’m not sure. Anyway, brunch kicked butt. Too bad Coach didn’t. No pink purses! Ok, they had 2, but they had brown straps. Ick. Who wants a nice pink leather purse with brown straps? Not I said the fly. So we moved on to the record store where I purchased Lenny’s newest CD for $12.99. Love it.

Next it was over to the Harrisburg Mall to see if Macy’s had anything good. They didn’t. But we did see Larry Foote. Woo who! I had to ask the lady beside me who it was that everyone was making the stink about. LOL
Well……nothing at the mall. Dan asked if I felt ok because I hadn’t purchased a single thing except the CD all day.

Next stop, Wendy’s! Wendy’s house that is. Had to drop off some pictures for her to take with us this week to scrap-a-palooza. Hung out with Wendy and the doggies for a while then off to Dad’s for dinner. Susan made Moo Goo Gai Pan and it was out of this world! We loved it!
Thursday I’m leaving with Wendy & Cindy for our weekend in Cape May.I can’t wait. I have lots of pictures from the past few months to scrap so I’ll be a busy little bee…….stay tuned for next week. I’m sure something insane will happen while we’re there. We’ll get locked in the place again? Snowstorm? Who knows.

Thursday at the Theatre

Dan and I went to Hershey to see Spamalot on Thursday. It was hilarious.
I never really got into Monty Python all that much, but I've heard quotes from it over and over for the past years and I had to laugh. A friend has a cousin who's in the show and he finagled front row balcony seats for us. Superb. The show was hilarious.

Friday was my crazy-mixed-up-social-schedule-faux-pas.
Totally forgot about Bunko, made other plans, ugh. Anyway.....I went to both.
Boston Creme attended Bunko with me where I won for the most losses....go figure.
Then off to Dan's house for the get together that I arranged and completely forgot about.
The Captains on Acids were pouring freely and a certain individual was rather trashed and leaving me voice mails asking where I was, when I was coming over, etc. etc. At least she didn't sing "Oh Playmate......" to me this week!

A few hours of Wii bowling and boxing, a little PS2 Karaoke, a few drinks and I was ready for beddie bye.

Today I did a mountain of laundry, cleaned the kitchen and I'm off to the movies at some point tonight. I was delighted to wake up at 10:30ish and see snow! Although it's gone now, it was great while it lasted! I feel a blizzard coming soon.........check the farmers almanac. Last year on 2/14 we got a nice snow, maybe we'll get it again this year!

Have a great weekend.
